Who We Are

As one of New York University's largest and most prestigious student organizations, Model United Nations at NYU is home to several different branches catering to Model UN enthusiasts. These branches consist of Weekly Meetings, Travel Team, NYUMUNC, EmpireMUNC, and the UN Initiative.

Weekly Meetings

Thursday Evenings in Kimmel.

Looking for an informal atmosphere to voice your opinion on latest developments in international affairs and discuss and debate with fellow peers and politicos? Come out to our weekly meetings that involve a brief presentation on topic for discussion followed by a timed debate.

The world's largest Model UN Crisis Conference

Our flagship collegiate conference is home to the first entirely electronic conference on the circuit. Our conference strives  to provide a platform for debate, communication, and cooperation on real international issues and to inspire the next generation of leaders to seek new solutions.

Work hard, play hard

Hang out with other NYUMUNers in a more relaxing, less professional setting. The Social Board puts on monthly events and social programs that encompass our work hard, play hard mentality. Check out our upcoming events here.

Travel Team

More than just a team

As a top-ranked team, Travel Team allows for a selective few members of the club to compete at the highest levels of debate against other universities from the United States and beyond. Focusing mainly on fast-paced crisis committees, the team is an excellent opportunity for members to improve their public speaking and problem-solving skills in a competitive environment.

UN Initiative

Professional Experience as a UN Liaison

From organization of on-campus events of various UN bodies, to arrangement of student participation at international organizations and coordination with Permanent Missions of UN member states, the Initiative adds a distinct aspect of practical and impactful work.

The premier MUN conference for high school students

EmpireMUNC is the premiere fall conference not only for exhilarating debate, but also unforgettable cultural, historical, and academic exploration – the junction of an elite university's conference with the unparalleled location of NYC.
